What is the current condition of the castle? I last saw it in December of 2005 and heard that the renovations that were going on then fell short.

I haven't been down to the castle since you were last there so cannot comment on the actual situation. I do know the enterprise that was hoping to rebuild the castle and turn it into an accommodaion centre had financial difficulties and work stopped. The good news is, I believe, that they did complete the work on the roof so at least the castle will not deteriorate further.

Thank - You, and glad to see the refurbishment of the cottages includes the bed mattress. The last time I stayed, I had an extra comforter I used between me and the bed and I could still feel the springs.
